Fire fighters attended a quarry blaze in Friarton on Monday afternoon.
Officers from Scottish Fire and Rescue were called to tackle a blaze at the Friarton Quarry at around 1.20pm.
A special aerial extinguishing unit, along with standard ground-based engines, were in attendance at the scene, just off Gleneagles Road.
As many as eight appliances were sent out from stations including Perth, Dundee and Newburgh to tackle the flames which consumed a silo.
It is understood no-one has been injured as a result of the incident.
An area was cordoned off by firefighters, some considerable distance from the quarry.
A fire at the same location took place in May 2014.
