A disused Highland Perthshire farmhouse is set to be transformed into tourist accommodation.
A campsite will also be built at Tomnauld Farm at Ballinluig, just off the A9.
Six pitches will be created while the revamped bothy will become available for guests to rent.
Applicant David McConville also plans to bring animals back to the site to offer tourists an authentic farm experience.
It comes amid a raft of applications for new holiday sites in Perthshire, including a park near Stanley, glamping pods near Blairgowrie and the conversion of the old Aberfeldy Cottage Hospital for tourist accommodation.
Documents lodged with the Ballinluig application – which has been approved by Perth and Kinross Council – say the owners will live on the site.
A statement said: “The site will cater for families and outdoor enthusiasts.
“The proposed development, as a whole, will present the opportunity for a holistic sustainable lifestyle with living, working and the tourism business taking place within the immediate site.
“It is also intended that animals will be reintroduced to the farm to enhance the visitor experience and also reinvigorate the true farm aspect of the development.”
It is also hoped “employment opportunities” will be created through the development.
In addition, there are plans to introduce hedges and wild flowers in an attempt to boost biodiversity – with work set to get under way within weeks.
