A 32-year-old woman has been charged after a substantial drugs recovery in Perth.
Police Scotland said heroin with an estimated illicit street value of £5,600 was recovered from an address in the city’s North Methven Street.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the woman is expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Sergeant Mike Ness from the Community Investigation Unit said : “A significant amount of drugs has been recovered today as part of ongoing intelligence-led activity under Operation Slate.
“Throughout Tayside, we are committed to tackling drug-related criminality and reducing the harm caused by drugs.
“Supported by local officers, specialist search teams and the dog unit from Operational Support Division , we will act on the information you provide to take drugs out of our communities and arrest those involved in their supply.
