Two people have been charged in connection with an early-morning robbery in Perth city centre on Monday.
Police officers descended on a block of flats in Kinnoull Street shortly after 3am, responding to reports of an assault and robbery.
When they arrived the male victim was uninjured.
Police remained on the scene for most of the day
‘Noise and commotion’
Residents of the block of flats say they were woken by commotion and banging, followed by the arrival of the police.
One said: “I heard some banging in the hallway and what sounded like someone banging against a door.
“I heard a lot of slamming too, like doors slamming or something.
“There was just a lot of noise and commotion really early in the morning.”
Another resident said: “I heard a lot of noise and then later on what I think was the police arriving.
“There is regular trouble here so I didn’t think much of it at the time.”
Police Scotland said that a 25-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
