Perth College UHI has taken delivery of a brand new helicopter on which engineers from around the world will train for years to come.
The aircraft, an Agusta 109, will be used by Air Service Training (AST) at its Perth Airport hanger.
AST is Scotland’s only approved aircraft engineer licence training organisation and delivers world-class training in aeroplanes and avionics at its main facility in Perth and at sites worldwide.
Senior training manager Mike Haufe said: “The Agusta 109 is a fine addition to our existing training aircraft fleet and will allow students to undertake practical ‘hands-on’ training on modern helicopter structures and systems.”
New helicopter will enable next generation of aerospace engineers to train in Perth
