The annual Comrie Flambeaux parade to see in the New Year was held in the Perthshire village.
The origins of the ancient custom have been lost over time but the tradition is maintained by a local voluntary effort.
The Flambeaux are lit as the first bell is struck. The torches, consisting of long thick birch poles with tarred rags tightly bound to the tops, are walked around the village preceded by a pipe band and followed by a fancy dress parade.
