Fire crews are at the scene of a blaze at the Binn Farm waste management site in Perthshire.
They attended shortly before 8.30am on Sunday following reports of a compost machine on fire.
The machine is situated within a 100 metre by 30 metre compost shed.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said crews were using water jets and dry powder to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for hot-spots.
It is understood their efforts have prevented the fire from spreading further.
Binn Group management are on scene and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency has been informed as a precaution.
