Police are investigating after a nude couple on a tandem cycle ride in rural Perthshire were deliberately struck by a passing motorist.
The bizarre incident unfolded after the man and woman were seen riding the bike near to Bridge of Earn on Monday.
Shocked locals looked on in amazement as the naked pair cycled happily along the main road into the small town, which is south of Perth.
Naked on a tandem
Footage has emerged showing a man with long hair and a beard cycling at the front while a blonde-haired woman bringing up the rear.
The profanity-laden video is believed to have been taken shortly before they were struck by a car on the same Perthshire road.
The person filming can be heard swearing, exclaiming “oh my God” after confirming the pair are cycling “in the scud”.
He then overtakes them and continues on his journey.

Police say another driver then deliberately drove at them afterwards, striking them.
An eye-witness said police later stopped them outside a nursery where they dressed themselves while being spoken to by officers.
Neither was injured but police are investigating the incident.
They have been described as “naturists“.
Eye-witness: ‘I couldn’t believe my eyes’
One eye-witness, who asked not to be named said: “I couldn’t believe my eyes.
“I was driving back from work and saw the pair completely naked on the tandem.
“The police had stopped them outside a nursery in Bridge of Earn.
“By this time they were putting clothes on. The man got in to the back of the police car and the woman was chatting to another police officer.”
Another eye-witness said: “I saw them going through the village — I thought I was seeing things.”
Police enquiries ongoing
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police enquiries are ongoing after a 52-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman who were riding a tandem bike were deliberately driven at and struck by a car on the A912 near to Bridge of Earn around 2pm on Monday.
