A 27-year-old man was taken to Perth Royal Infirmary following a serious assault on the city’s Argyll Road.
The attack took place on July 5 at around 5.45pm outside the Co-op shop and the victim’s injuries are unknown at this stage.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The incident occurred around 5.45pm on July 5, when a 27-year-old man was assaulted by another man outside the Co-op on Argyll Road.
“The victim attended Perth Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“Our inquiries into the incident are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch.
“We would urge anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident or may have witnessed what happened to contact officers.
“Anyone with information should contact police via 101, quoting incident number 1397 of July 5.”
