Best pictures as thousands of people attend Perthshire Pride

Perthshire Pride took place today with thousands of people turning up to celebrate the day. All pictures Steve MacDougall/ DC Thomson.

Thousands of people have descended on Perth city centre for Perthshire Pride.

A host of events took place on Saturday including a march and a keynote speech from actor Alan Cumming.

There was also music, performances and speakers throughout the day, along with a market and a host of other activities.

The day’s celebrations were rounded off with a party at The Bank.

Our photographer Steve MacDougall was there to capture some of the best moments.

The march took place from South Inch car park to Horsecross Plaza where Alan Cumming gave a speech.

People of all ages took part in the massive parade, with thousands reported to have been in attendance.
