Farmers across Perth and Kinross have been urged to step up security in the wake of a new spate of plant and machinery thefts.
Criminals have plundered thousands of pounds of items from properties in the Bridge of Earn and Kinross areas throughout January.
Between Friday 20 and Monday 23, a farm in the Glenfarg area was broken into and a yellow Stihl saw taken.
During this time a white coloured van was seen travelling on the Glenfarg to Wicks o Baiglie Road on a number of occasions, raising the suspicions of local residents there.
In addition to this, a green Yamaha quad bike was stolen from a farm in the Fossoway area sometime between 5.30pm on Wednesday 25 and 5.30pm on Thursday 26.
It had been stored in an unlocked outhouse.
Police Scotland said: “Following these thefts, we are appealing for all farmers to be mindful of securing items of plant and machinery while they are not in use.”
Anyone with information regarding either of these crimes is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
