A 72-year-old man has died after falling ill at McDiarmid Park minutes before St Johnstone’s game against Aberdeen.
The Saints’ clash was delayed by 15 minutes on Saturday as a call went over the tannoy for the match day crowd doctor.
Shocked fans looked on as medical staff from both clubs raced to the Main Stand to offer assistance.
One supporter said the incident occurred near the Crieff Road end of the ground.

The fan was stretchered off towards the corner gate ahead of kick-off before the match got underway.
It’s understood paramedics continued to work on the supporter at the stadium before the ambulance left the ground at around 3.40pm.
Police Scotland later announced that the man had passed away afterwards.
A spokesperson said: “Around 2.50pm on Saturday, 20 August, 2022, police were advised of a medical incident involving a man within McDiarmid Park, Perth.
“Emergency services attended and a 72-year-old man died a short time later.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
St Johnstone have been approached for comment.
