Budding pop stars will have the opportunity to become the next Leona Lewis or One Direction when X-Factor mobile auditions come to Perth this weekend.
While music mogul Simon Cowell will not be in attendance, a production team from the TV show will visit St John’s Centre on Saturday, from 10am to 5pm.
This will be followed by open mic auditions at the Twa Tams the following day, beginning at 2pm.
Singers will be invited to showcase a track of their choice either with a backing track or with live accompaniment.
Spaces will be allocated according to who arrives first. Those interested should email tamsbooking@gmail.com
A spokesperson for the X-Factor said: “The mobile auditions will take place on a first come, first served basis and those interested in taking part should turn up, wait their turn and do their thing.
“If people impress the visiting X-Factor production team then they could be in with a chance of auditioning in front of the judges themselves when the televised auditions take place this summer.
“To audition, people must be aged 16 or over by April. Those aged under-18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have a valid ID.
“Friends, family and fans of all ages are welcome to come down and support local talent in both venues. Let’s show them that Perth most definitely has the X-Factor.”
Auditions for the show will also take place in Dundee.
The auditions team will be at the Overgate Centre on Friday between 11am and 5pm.
