Perth is braced for more heavy rain – with forecasters warning the city could be battered with another 50mm on Thursday night.
Parts of the city have been left under water after torrential rain on Thursday morning.
It has led to transport chaos in the city with roads and railways blocked.
There have also been problems in several parts of Fife.
Grahame Madge, a meteorologist at the Met Office, told The Courier: “There is another band of heavy rain coming in this evening which is going to have an impact on the same areas as this morning.
“We’re still counting up today’s rainfall, but we are expecting 10mm to 15mm of rainfall within an hour in some areas.
“Some other parts of Perth could see 20mm to 30mm, maybe even 50mm [on Thursday evening].
“That is really heavy rainfall.

“We do have a yellow warning for rain in place which says there could be some travel disruption due to flooding, but any further warnings are for Sepa to decide.
“The warning extends just over Perth and covers most of Fife and Kinross.
“We’ve had water spouts and tornados in other parts of Scotland this week so it has been a very unsettled atmosphere overall.”
Roads including the A85 and the M90 near Perth, and the A92 in Fife, have been impacted by the floodwater.
Railway lines south of Perth have also been flooded with passengers warned of disruption until the end of Thursday.
Videos from Perth showed rivers of water running down streets with venues like the Cherrybank Inn left submerged.
The Scottish Deer Centre in Fife was forced to shut while there was also flooding in the cells at Perth Sheriff Court.
A spokesperson for environment watchdog Sepa said: “A band of heavy rain affected areas of Fife and Perthshire earlier this morning, resulting in surface water impacts, in particular in Perth where over 60mm of rainfall was recorded over a period of six hours this morning, with a maximum intensity of about 25mm in one hour.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10am on Thursday September 8 to reports of flooding in South Methven Street, Perth.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance to assess the area.
“At 11.30am, we received reports of flooding at Scott Street in Perth and one appliance attended the scene.
“Affected residents in both locations were provided with flood advice.”
The spokesperson added: “We also received reports of flooding on Main Street, Abernethy at 9.47am on Thursday September 8 affecting a number of properties.
