Scotland’s prima doners are preparing to do battle in a hotly fought contest to find Britain’s best kebab.
The knives are being sharpened as the shish shortlist for this year’s Best Kebab House in Scotland is revealed.
The contenders include local heroes Marmaris in Perth, Tony’s Kebab Shop in Kirkcaldy and Dino’s in Forfar.
They will compete against seven other outlets from Glasgow and Edinburgh across 15 categories, including Best Kebab Van, Best Newcomer and Best Fine Dining.
Members of the public were asked to nominate their favourite kebab shops last year.
The shortlist was compiled using public votes, as well as official hygiene scores. Bonus points were awarded for any nominations from MPs.
The winners will be crowned at the fifth annual awards ceremony in London on February 26.
