A valuable dog box has been stolen from the charity Perthshire Gundog Rescue.
The TransK9 Landrover Defender dog box was taken along with other items from a garage in St Madoes, sometime on Thursday or Friday.
“I fear we may never see the box again,” said Carol Begg who runs the charity.
She said it was a distinctive item as it was a prototype and valued at between £600 and £700.
She hopes that anyone with information on the theft will contact the police.
The company behind the box have already stepped in to ensure that the work of the charity can continue.
“We can’t let the greed of others get in the way of you safely transporting your rescue dogs throughout the UK,” they said, offering a replacement.
