Hundreds of people hit the slopes at Glenshee over the weekend as Perthshire’s ski season finally got under way.
For Glenshee Ski Centre director Stewart Davidson the improvement in weather conditions and the flood of skiers came as a great relief.
“It is always a worry waiting for the season to arrive,” he said.
While only ten of the 22 lifts were operating and more snow would be welcome, around 900 people were on the slopes on Friday and Saturday and only slightly fewer on Sunday, though things had been improving in the run up to the first weekend of sport this year.
