A former Perthshire teacher has been arrested in London after Just Stop Oil activists covered a Rolex shop in paint.
Two activists from the climate group sprayed the front of the luxury jeweller in Knightsbridge orange at around 8.30am on Friday.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed a man and a woman were arrested and taken into custody.
One of those arrested is Adrian Johnson, 56, a former deputy headteacher from Perthshire.
A Met spokesman said officers were “quickly on scene” and apprehended the activists.
He said: “At 8.43am on Friday two Just Stop Oil protesters sprayed the outside of a jewellery shop in Knightsbridge with paint.
“Officers were quickly on scene and arrested them on suspicion of criminal damage.
Activists taken into custody
“Both have been taken into custody at a central London police station where they remain.”
Other stunts carried out by the group have included throwing tomato soup at a Van Gogh painting in the National Gallery in London.
Activists also smeared cake on the waxwork of King Charles III waxwork at Madame Tussauds earlier this week.
In March one of the group’s supporters interrupted play at Goodison Park in Liverpool when he run onto the pitch and cable-tied himself to a goalpost.
