Emergency repairs to a burst pipe have been completed after disruption to water services in Perthshire.
Scottish Water engineers successfully carried out works to a burst main within the SSE car park on Dunkeld Road in Perth on Wednesday.
The pipe mainly supplies customers in the Luncarty, Redgorton, and Bertha Park areas.
Customers were told to expect low water pressure or a total loss of water before repairs were completed at around 6pm.
Normal service expected by 7pm
A spokesman for Scottish Water confirmed normal service was expected to resume by 7pm.
He said: “Scottish Water engineers have now completed repairs to the burst 230mm water pipe within the SSE Car Park, Dunkeld Road, Perth.
“Following the repair, our teams are focusing on repressurising the network to ensure customers are brought back into full water supply.
“We anticipate all supplies will return to normal around 7pm.
“Customers in certain areas of Perth including Stanley and Bankfoot may continue to face temporary disruption to their normal water supply during the evening due to the repressurising process.”
