A man has been arrested following the alleged rape of a woman in a Perth hotel.
The incident at the Lovat Hotel on Glasgow Road was reported to police on Sunday morning.
Officers, including CID, have been spotted at the scene.
An onlooker said: “Police were parked outside the Lovat Hotel in Perth all day on Sunday.
“They were outside the hotel on Sunday morning, stayed there all day, and remained at the scene on Monday morning.”
Man released pending further inquiries
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.05am on Sunday, officers received a report of a serious sexual assault at a premises on Glasgow Road, Perth.
“A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection and released pending further inquiries.”
A spokesperson for the Lovat Hotel declined to comment.
