Police say a crash on the A9 near Blair Atholl involving a Transit van and an HGV on Saturday was caused by a third vehicle trying to overtake.
Emergency crews were called to the road shortly after 9am.
No serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
However, officers are still probing the collision and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the crash or the third vehicle, a silver Vauxhall – thought to be either an Astra or a Corsa.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An HGV and a Transit van, both travelling northbound, were involved in a collision on a single carriageway stretch of the road near to Blair Atholl.
Dashcam appeal
“A small silver Vauxhall car, possibly an Astra or Corsa, was seen to attempt an overtake in the oncoming lane immediately prior, causing one of the drivers to take evasive action which ultimately led to the collision.
“Fortunately there were no serious injuries.
“We would like to hear from anyone who was driving in this area around the material time who may have seen some part of this incident or may have dashcam footage.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1016 of November 12.
