The A9 has reopened between Dunkeld and Bankfoot after a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday evening.
Motorists reported facing delays of up to an hour in both directions as a result of the collision.
The road has now reopened, although traffic remains heavy along the A9 just outside Birnam.
It has not been confirmed if anyone was injured as a result of the crash.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed officers had attended the scene.

She said: “Around 5.30pm on Tuesday police received a report of two-vehicle road crash on the A9 near Dunkeld.
“Emergency services attended and the road has been reopened.”
