Jason Manford has poked fun at an Australian hotel which promoted his gig over 9,000 miles away at Perth Concert Hall to their guests.
The poster advertising events to those staying at the Alex Hotel in Western Australia included a listing for the funny man’s gig in the Fair City on Tuesday.
It would have meant a long trip for any fans of Jason Manford keen to catch his return to stand up.
The comedian said the mistake was likely down to someone searching online for events in Perth and not checking the fine print.
Taking to Instagram, Mr Manford wrote: “My sister sent me [this] poster from a hotel near hers in Perth, Australia advertising my gig in Perth, Scotland tonight.
“I’m guessing someone was told to Google ‘what’s on in Perth’ and just cut and paste it.”
Alongside the listing was a weather forecast showing highs of 29°C. Meanwhile in Perth, Scotland, the Met Office predicted highs of just 6°C.
“It is certainly not highs of 29 degrees,” Jason Manford added.
