The A93 road between Perth and Blairgowrie was closed on Friday afternoon after a lorry shed its load.
The incident happened at Burnside Cottages, near Cargill, about 10 miles north of Perth.
Traffic was being diverted via the A94 Perth to Forfar road, via Scone Brae and Birsie Brae.
Perth and Kinross Council confirmed in the road closure just after 2.20pm on Friday.
It’s understood Police Scotland attended the incident to ensure the safety of those involved before a diversion was put in place by the local authority.
The council wrote on Twitter: “The A93 Perth to Blairgowrie road is currently closed due to a road traffic collision at Burnside Cottages, near Cargill, approximately 10 miles north of Perth.
“Traffic is being diverted via the A94 Perth to Forfar road, via Scone Brae & Birsie Brae.”
