The family of a missing 25-year-old Perth man has been informed by police after a body was recovered from the River Tay.
Police said the dead man was found at the water’s edge near to Walnut Grove on Friday evening.
It is nearly six weeks since Kieran Bruce was seen falling from the Queen’s Bridge in the centre of Perth. The incident sparked a major sea and air search operation.
A force spokesman said: “Officers are currently making enquiries but it is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances.
“The family of missing person Kieran Bruce have been informed.”
The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC) is looking into the police response prior to reports of a man going into the water at Perth on March 18.
