A man has appeared in court in connection with a fatal crash on the A9, near Dunblane.
Emergency services were called to the busy Keir Roundabout on Thursday evening.
A 25-year-old man, who has still to be named by police, died at the scene.
A man and woman were also injured in the smash.
Ion Rusu, 41, was arrested by police investigating the incident. He appeared on petition at Stirling Sheriff Court, facing allegations of causing death by dangerous driving.
Rusu, whose address was listed on court papers as “no fixed abode”, made no plea and he was remanded in custody.
The collision, at 6.15pm, involved a heavy goods vehicle, van and a saloon car. Fire crews attended from Dunblane, Doune, Bridge of Allan and Stirling. An air ambulance was also called to the scene.
The route was closed for several hours, causing lengthy tailbacks.
