Fire crews have helped rescue a horse at a farm near Perth.
The animal is understood to have “cast” – a term where a horse has fallen with its legs against a vertical surface in such a way that it can neither get up nor reposition itself to roll the other way.
Two fire engines, a heavy lifting unit and a technical rescue unit attended at Lower Tarsappie Farm at 9.15pm.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a help horse at Lower Tarsappie Farm near Perth. The horse had fallen over and was too close to a wall to get up.
“We sent two appliances from Perth, heavy rescue unit and technical rescue vehicle. There was a vet in attendance to sedate it prior to lifting.”
