A 65-year-old man has died after an industrial accident at a Perthshire farm.
Emergency services were called to North Strathy Farm, just off the A9 near Aberuthven, shortly before 11am on Friday.
Police, paramedics and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were all in attendance.
A heavy rescue unit from Perth was also called to the farm, however the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man died at scene
The man’s identity has not been confirmed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.50am on Friday, we received a report of an industrial accident at a farm in Aberuthven.
“Emergency services attended but a 65-year-old man died at the scene.
“The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have been made aware and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal, as is standard for all deaths.”
Health and Safety Executive informed
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called about 10.45am and we were contacted by the the ambulance service.
“There were three appliances and one heavy rescue unit from Perth in attendance.
“We were stood down at 12.07pm.”
An HSE spokesperson said: “We are aware of this incident and making enquiries alongside Police Scotland.”
