Fire crews are tackling the aftermath of a massive wild fire in Highland Perthshire.
The operation to fully extinguish the blaze at the Tay Forest Park, near Pitlochry, has entered its fourth day.
Six crews returned to the 150-acre site on Sunday.
A fire service spokesman said they were likely to remain at the scene all day, damping down the smouldering woodland and checking for hidden hot pockets.
The teams are using hose reels, shovels and spades to ensure the fire doesn’t spark up again.
“They are assessing the situation at the end of each day,” he said. “At the moment, we can’t say when it will be brought under control once and for all.”
A helicopter scooped gallons of water from Loch Faskally to help douse the flames on Thursday afternoon.
The Forestry Commission of Scotland, which owns the park, said the damage to trees was not as bad as first expected.
