Today’s publication from National Records of Scotland reveals all of the names given to babies in Scotland last year in 2022.
Here are the latest baby name trends in the area and how the most popular names compare to the previous year’s top names.
Top baby names in Dundee
The top name for boys in Dundee in 2022 was Leo, while for girls it was a tie between Millie and Olivia.
Other popular names included Noah and Lucas for boys, and Olivia and Rosie for girls.
In 2021, the top names for boys were Noah and Mason.
The same year, the top names for girls were Olivia, Willow and Isla.
Top baby names in Angus
The top name for boys in Angus in 2022 was Rory, while for girls it was Daisy.
Other popular names included Noah and Oscar for boys, and Willow and Sophie for girls.
In 2021, the top names for boys were Noah and Harry.
The same year, the top names for girls were Olivia, Ava, Isla and Sophie.
Top baby names Perth and Kinross
The top name for boys in Perth and Kinross in 2022 was Alexander, while for girls it was Charlotte.
Other popular names included Oliver and Noah for boys, and Freya and Amelia for girls.
In 2021, the top names for boys were Harris and Finlay.
The same year, the top name for girls was Olivia.

The top name for boys in Fife in 2022 was Noah, while for girls it was Emily.
