A Perthshire man was left in disbelief after returning home to discover his mobile home had been stolen.
Ryan Lawson and his wife Amanda were at work on Tuesday when the thieves took the vehicle – which was parked outside their house in Meigle.
Police Scotland are appealing for information to help find the mobile home.
Ryan, 50, told The Courier that he knew something was wrong when he returned home from work.
Ryan said: “When I pulled into the drive I just knew that something wasn’t right.
“Although the mobile home was parked around the side of the house I immediately had a feeling that something was wrong.
£12.5k camper van was only used once
“I went around the house and actually couldn’t believe it when I realised it wasn’t there.
“It was one of those weird things when you look but you have to take a double take because you can’t believe what you’re seeing.”
Ryan and Amanda only bought the £12,500 mobile home a few months ago and have so far only managed one weekend away in it to Lochearnhead.
He said: “We thought it would be a great idea to get one so we could get away for holidays at any time,
‘Too hot to handle’
“Looks like that won’t be happening now.
“I hope that by getting the word out quickly we make it basically ‘too hot to handle’ and we may stand a chance of getting it back.”
He added: “The worse bit is knowing that someone has been snooping around your home and taken something that belongs to you.”
Police appeal
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Between 9am and 6.30pm on Tuesday a white Talbot Express 1000 D Motorhome was stolen from a property near Lanlogie, Meigle, and was last displaying the registration K680 SGE.
“The vehicle has distinctive two-tone, blue horizontal decals running around it.
“Anyone with information regarding this vehicle is asked to contact Police on 101 quoting crime reference CR/0045591/23.”
