The Perth to Dundee road was closed for a short time due to a car transporter catching fire.
The incident happened at 11.10am on Monday on the A90 dual carriageway near Glencarse.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue said two fire units from Perth attended at the scene.
“A small fire broke out one one of the car transporter’s brakes,” he said.
“A hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera were used to put the fire out.”
And a spokesperson for Police Scotland added: “Police attended at the A90 Perth to Dundee road near to Glencarse following reports of a vehicle being on fire.
“The northbound road was closed for a short time. There are no reports of anyone being injured.”
It’s understood the northbound stretch of the road was closed for around 15 minutes.
