One of Scotland’s most unusual 5k challenges took place at the weekend amidst mud, sweat — and multi-coloured dye.
The now annual Muddy Colour Mayhem event was once again held at Errol Airfield, this year in brilliant sunshine.
While that reduced the muck that traditionally pools around its testing obstacle course, the heat presented its own challenge.
Teams took on a gruelling assault course to raise funds for the Perth and Kinross Association of Voluntary Services, better known as PKAVS.
They tackled multiple obstacles, including a climbing wall, cargo nets and water challenges, while volunteers showered them in dyes of all hues.
Some of those participating — which included teams from Perth Honda and Thorntons Solicitors — decided to make their task even harder by donning fancy dress.
All, however, benefited from a sense of fun and camaraderie which gave them the added energy to defeat the course, though there were a few bumps and bruises along the way.
