A Perthshire road has been shut after the local authority deemed repairs to a level crossing were dangerous to the public.
A half-kilometre stretch either side of Blackford level crossing was closed on Wednesday afternoon.
Under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Perth and Kinross Council has closed the section between Stirling Street and the U188 until further notice.
The local authority has told the public there is a “likelihood of danger” until repairs are complete.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained and the alternative route for vehicles is the A9 Moray Street.
