The thrilling battle for supremacy in Perth and North Perthshire remains on a knife edge after a second recount was called for.
It is thought a mere handful of votes separate duelling candidates Pete Wishart and Ian Duncan.
A second recount of the night is now underway.
There is said to be a difference of just 21 votes.
The decision to recount delayed the announcement of a victor in what has been one of the election’s most keenly contested seats.
