The A9 in Highland Perthshire was closed in both directions for around an hour and a half following an accident.
Four casualties, all described as “walking wounded” were helped from two vehicles following a collision.
It took place at around 10.55am, between Dalnacardoch and Blair Atholl, and caused significant disruption.
Queues built up and motorists were urged to take alternative routes before the road reopened shortly before 12.30pm.
