The hunt for thieves who carried out an armed robbery in the Gleneagles Hotel remains “ongoing”.
The Mappin and Webb jewellery store in the five-star venue was targeted today, with a display window allegedly smashed with a hammer and items including high-value watches taken.
Armed police and a helicopter were called in to help track those behind the robbery.
SNP MSP for Perthshire South and Kinross-shire, Roseanna Cunningham, said the search for the culprits remains “ongoing”.

Speaking at the scene of the incident, she said: “I was extremely concerned to hear the news of a robbery at Gleneagles Hotel.
“This must have been a very worrying experience for staff and guests and I am relieved to learn that no one has been harmed in the incident.
“The hunt for the robbers is ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information which might be of assistance to the police to get in touch with them immediately.”
Criminal gangs have targeted the retailer before, with the Old Course Hotel shop in St Andrews having previously been targeted and foiled by police.
The Gleneagles Hotel has confirmed none of their staff were hurt during the robbery.
