Hundreds of people turned out with the hope of winning roles in a television drama about one of Scotland’s greatest heroes.
The call for extras for the Netflix film about Robert the Bruce drew a massive response to the auditions in the centre of Glasgow and there will be another casting on Saturday.
To be directed by Perthshire film-make David MacKenzie, The Outlaw King will star Hollywood actor Chris Pine.
Shooting begins at undisclosed locations in Scotland next month.
The film is described as a “David and Goliath story” of Bruce’s struggle against the English.
