The sound of these church bells has caused a stir in one Perthshire village.
Residents launched a petition to stop the chimes, which have been heard from the Errol Parish Church spires day and night for almost two centuries, from being silenced.
It all stemmed from a single complaint made to Perth and Kinross Council environmental health officers about the “disturbance” they cause in Erroll on summer evenings.
The complaint has since been withdrawn.
