Motorists travelling on the M90 towards Perth faced minor delays on Friday afternoon after a crash affected traffic for around 40 minutes.
The fire service said the incident took place northbound between the Craigend to Broxden stretch of the motorway at around 2pm with several cars reportedly “nose to tail”.
It is believed that the crash occurred after a driver took ill at the wheel, however, there were no serious injuries reported.
The ill motorist was taken to Ninewells Hospital to be checked over.
