Atrocious weather conditions are not dampening the spirits of around 30,000 revellers at the Rewind Festival near Perth.
Rain did not relent over the course of the popular throwback event on Saturday as a host of top acts from the 80s entertained a noisy crowd in a party atmosphere.
The Human League headlined the festival on Saturday night with the likes of Chesney Hawkes, the Trevor Horn Band with Jim Kerr and T’Pau preceding them.
Conditions worsened around tea time on the Saturday with the ground underfoot becoming a sodden, muddy field but the thousands who attended failed to let this affect their enjoyment of the festival, held near Scone Palace.
The rain did not let up on Sunday morning as attendees got ready to party again, with Billy Ocean set to close the festival.
A spokesperson for Rewind said: “The festival has been an overwhelming success. People always dress up for Rewind and get involved in the atmosphere.
“The festival is a celebration of music, fun and good times set to a live ‘80’s soundtrack from the biggest music icons from the decade of ‘Day-Glo’ and big hair.”
