A child is recovering at home after being struck by a motorcyle in a hit and run incident in Perthshire on Thursday evening.
The 10-year-old suffered minor injuries following the incident which happened in Kinross near to the Lethangie campsite entrance.
Police thanked locals who stopped and assisted until the ambulance arrived.
The child is now back home but was described as being in a state of shock.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “About 7.50pm on Thursday August 31, a road traffic incident happened the A922 South Street, Milnathort, whereby a motorcycle travelling towards Milnathort struck a child knocking them to the ground before leaving the scene of the accident.
“The 10 year old girl suffered an arm injury and was treated by ambulance at the scene and then allowed home.
“Officer would like to the motorcyclist and ask the public for their assistance in this matter.”
