Perth Racecourse will end its year of racing with a double header meeting.
The Glorious Finale meetings on Wednesday and Thursday should see around 4,000 people attend each day, with 13 races taking place.
The two events will close what has been regarded as a bumper season by staff at Perth, with the number of people attending the annual Perth Festival, the Perth Gold Cup and the Carnival Raceway all up on previous years.
Wednesday’s penultimate feature race will be held in memory of former Perth Racecourse chairman David Whitaker.
Hazel Peplinksi, chief executive at Perth Racecourse, said: “We are really looking forward to wrapping up what has been a superb season over the summer.
“It is traditional for Perth to close the season with a very strong two-day meeting. The track is in great condition and we look forward to extending a warm welcome to all our visitors next week.”
Gates for the Glorious Finale open at noon on both days. The first race is scheduled for 2.20pm on Wednesday and the last race at 5.05pm.
Thursday’s first race is scheduled at 2.10pm, with the final race taking place at 5.40pm.
