A report of a woman who may have gone missing from the top of Kinnoull Hill in Perth was a false alarm, police have stated.
Police have said officers conducted a thorough search of the immediate area and confirmed they are no longer pursuing the matter.
“As we have not had any missing persons reported to us who would match the description, it appears that this was a false alarm with good intent,” a police spokesperson said on Thursday.
“Thank you to everyone who offered information and shared our initial appeal, it is hugely appreciated.”
The police appeal had said a woman, aged in her forties, had last been seen on the top of Kinnoull Hill, Perth, around 6.15pm on Tuesday.
