A body has been found in the search for a well known Perthshire man.
A major search was launched after Ian Rattray, 69, of Pitlochry, was reported missing.
He was last seen on Monday at 10am in the town’s Atholl Road area.
Police appealed for help in tracing Mr Rattray, saying they were becoming “increasingly concerned” for the well-being of the missing man.
Sadly, at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, Police Scotland confirmed the body of a man had been recovered from Loch Faskally, Pitlochry.
Officers are currently carrying out enquiries but a statement from the force said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
A spokesperson added: “The family of missing person Ian Rattray has been informed.”
