The foot of Perth’s High Street was cordoned off after reports of a person in the River Tay.
Four fire units, the technical rescue unit, along with ambulance and police attended shortly after 4.30pm on Wednesday, but were quickly stood down.
They made a precautionary check but it was ascertained to be a false alarm.
