East 17 and other 1990s boy band acts have been announced for this year’s Perth Christmas lights switch-on extravaganza.
The headline act remains under wraps but East 17 will return after proving a popular addition to the bill in 2016.
Boyzlife – featuring fan favourites Keith Duffy from Boyzone and Brian MacFadden from Westlife – will also be on the Fair City stage, performing all the hits from their bands’ heydeys.
The full line-up is being announced in instalments over the next few days, but local band Longstay were the first act to be confirmed.
City leaders have worked hard in recent years to ensure the event is a draw for all the family.
The acts chosen – including Peter Andre, Slade and Billy Ocean – have helped to draw ever bigger crowds to Perth in recent years.
Perth and Kinross Council intends to unveil an additional act each day until the lineup is complete.
The Christmas Light Switch On event itself will take place on the evening of Saturday November 18.
