Shocked residents say they no longer feel safe after a village store was targeted for the second time in less than a week.
The latest raid happened in the early hours of Monday morning, leaving a large hole smashed in the window of Invergowrie Scotmid.
It comes just days after two males, aged 15 and 21, were charged in connection with an alleged break-in at the same store in the early hours of October 18, along with a series of others across Tayside.
Rona Anderson, 63, who lives just a few doors from the Main Street shop, said she was worried properties in the area could be being targeted.
“Another property in the street was broken into just a few weeks ago so it really feels like these are all happening in a very short space of time,” she said.
A spokesman for Scotmid declined to comment on whether anything had been taken in the incident but confirmed police had been called.
Police Scotland confirmed they were investigating a second break-in at the Invergowrie store.
A 21-year-old man appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with the first alleged break-in at the store as well as a raft of others across Dundee.
A 15-year-old was also reported to the youth justice assessor.
