Engineers are battling to restore power to hundreds of homes in rural Perthshire.
The Blairgowrie area was hit by a major outage just before 9am on Tuesday.
SSE confirmed that its crews were working to have electricity back on by 11am.
The incident has affected about 350 properties across 46 postcode zones in and around Spittalfield and Caputh.
“We were alerted at 8.51am,” a spokeswoman said. “Engineers are on the site and we are hoping to restore power as soon as possible.
“We would like to apologise to affected customers and thank them for their patience as we investigate the cause of this incident and work to get the power back on as quickly as possible.”
SSE had hoped to fix the problem by 11am, but it was about 3pm before electricity was fully restored.
