A biker has died following a three-vehicle smash in Perthshire.
Police Scotland said a 56-year-old man died as a result of the accident, which happened around 2.45pm on Thursday on the A93 at Guildtown.
Two cars and a motorbike were involved in the crash.
The biker died from his injuries at the scene.
Police have yet to name the man but a spokesperson said his next of kin had been informed about the tragedy, adding: “Our thoughts are with them at this time.”
Accident investigators worked late into the evening to piece together the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The road remained closed for several hours, with traffic diverted by police officers through St Martins.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said two appliances were also sent to the scene.
The road re-opened around 6.55pm on Thursday.
One local resident said the accident had happened at a “really bad double bend” and “a terrible bit of road.”
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “We weren’t home when the crash happened but by the time we got back, the road was full of police cars and ambulances.
“It’s a horrible bend there and I know a lot of people who have had near misses.”
